Data Center Venture Bankrolled by Carlyle Co-Founder Looks to Norway’s Fjords

Carlyle Group Inc. co-founder Bill Conway is backing a new venture that aims to procure land and power in Norway and sell the assets to data-center developers and technology companies.

Kitebrook is a Washington, DC-based property development and investment company. Recent ventures include launching Kitebrook Infra, an infrastructure developer of sustainable power sources tailored to the needs of the AI-driven data center market. Kitebrook was also the founder and co-owner of DigiPlex, which for over 20 years was the largest data center operator in Scandinavia. Kitebrook was also co-owner & co- developer of Palazzo Tornabuoni – the redevelopment of a 15th-century Medici palazzo in Florence into a modern private residence club.
