Power-Ready – Innovation Driven

Kitebrook was created in 2024 to address three critical challenges facing the booming data center industry:

  • The lack of powered sites, ready to go
  • The lack of innovation in data center design
  • The lack of solutions addressing the side effects of the industry’s hyper-growth

Kitebrook’s expertise was honed by two decades of launching and then growing DigiPlex, the Nordic region’s leading data center operator from 2001–2021.

Kitebrook and DigiPlex were both founded and funded by the same principals – Byrne Murphy (Chairman) and Bill Conway (capital partner). Key members of DigiPlex’s management team have also joined the Kitebrook program.  Having observed the industry’s challenges once AI became its driving force, Kitebrook felt certain there could be a better way for the sector to manage its growth.

The better way would be based upon cleaner, cheaper, and more abundant power. The better way is to provide much faster speed-to-market solutions, combined with a pipeline of powered sites. The better way would include working in sync with the environment and local communities. All the elements needed to create that better way are found in Norway. The embrace of natural elements forms a clean, efficient, and highly cost-effective solution for the needs of AI-enabled data centers.
